One of my earlier jobs brought me to various places in the country, especially the Visayas region. Being a Visayan myself, it was logical for the company to assign me in the implementation and monitoring of projects from Samar to Negros.
It was at first, exciting. I met a lot of people and I practically scoured the mountains of Samar, the beaches of Bohol and Cebu and the sugarlands of Negros. But the regularity of the trips (which could run for three weeks straight) eventually took its toll on my body. It became sooooooo tiring! I later hated the early morning trips to the airport and the sea trips no longer excited me. I felt so relieved when I changed job.
But now, having wallowed in the urban jungle of Manila for so long, I am beginning to yearn for some travel. And checking the Lakbayan map, I guess I really have to visit a lot more places. I still haven’t gone north – Ilocos, Batanes, Benguet. I now am lusting for an eco-tour of Palawan and a return to eye candy-filled Boracay. Would you believe, I have not even set foot at Puerto Galera? Pathetic, huh.
With the grade I got, I resolve to wander again in the next few months. I’m crossing my fingers here.

punta ka mindanao. punta ka rin sa palawan-- sa el nido. ang sarap don, parang wala ka sa pilipinas.
Carlotta: Sana madagdagan ang shaded area ng map ko. Kahit man lang sana Batanes, ok na.
Mandaya: I'd really love to visit Mindanao. Ayaw mo lang kasi mag-imbita diyan sa inyo. Mas gusto ko kasi yung medyo probinsiya talaga.

lahat ng Pinoy dapat magkaroon ng pagkakataong libutin yung iba't ibang bahagi ng bansa natin- higit pa sa pagkahilig nating lumabas ng bansa =]
kaso minsan- o madalas?- kapag work-related yung biyahe nawawala na yung ligaya ng pagdiskubre sa isang bagong bayan, palengke, o ilog...

Lika Aryo, punta tayo ng Puerto Galera one weekend with other fellow bloggers. The last time I was there was almost a decade ago. Hehe.
Ian: Oo nga. Bakit ba kasi naimbento pa ang trabaho? He he. Buti ka pa nga, nalibot mo na pala ang mundo. Pero tama ka, ayoko rin talagang maging banyaga sa sarili kong bayan.
Tutubi: I hope I can go for a B+ this year. Wala lang sanang sagabal. Btw, paturo naman gumamit ng camera. Kailangan ko ng session. :-)
JC: Palawan is really on top of my list. Me kaibigan akong taga-roon pero biglang nag disappear. Hinahunting ko pa!

Go go go! Ilocos is great, I loved my stay many years ago in Vigan! :) My dream destinations are Palawan and Batanes...

Gypsy: I'd realy want to travel back in time thru Vigan. And Batanes is pictured as paradise by some, so I'd really push myself to have a taste of heaven on earth. Kasihan nawa ako ng ...:-)
basta kung magawi ka man ng davao, sabihan mo ako para makabyahe sa city at makita ka naman.
kung sa palawan, punta ka mag-isa kasi wala akong budget pang-eroplano. medyo may kamahalan e. hehehe
halos nalibot ko na rin ang visayas at luzon. putang gala kasi ako dati.
ang ganda nga ng vigan-- was there 20 years ago. hehehe
ahahahahaha pero kkb. sagot ko lang yung bahay. lolz!
ay ang saya mo naman miss mandy nalibot mo na halos lahat ng isla ng pilipinas... wow ...
I got a C- in this one yata when I rated myself a little while back in another blog. Someday ,I would like to improve that rating. Right now, I am 'dayuhan sa sariling bayan' =(.
