Divine Mistake?

People make mistakes. Nothing can be truer than that. And with that as an unassailable given, all that’s left for us is to recognize our faults, show contrition and just do everything humanly possible to make amends.

Thus it truly amazes me when some, after erring, take comfort in the rationalization that “maybe, God wanted this to be so.” That’s absurd! It places God in the center of an issue or controversy not of His own making! It makes Him an active participant in the commission of a wrong, thereby making Him responsible for the willful acts of persons who are fully cognizant of the effects of their pursuits.

If I were God, I will send these escapists some minute lightning strikes to teach them a lesson or two in taking responsibility – that of owning up to the results of the choices they make and the actions they take.

End of sermon.

Indeed, people with perverted logic especially those not willing to be accountable and responsible for their actions will always resort in passing the blame even to their gods......

bigat ah sermon mode. pero come to think of it, maybe some people just want to grin and bear it with no hint of any consequences or whatever. di talaga lahat panyero ay may pag-iisip na ayos. lighten up at ingats lagi. shoot na lang ng shoot para mawala stress.

I often blame God sa mga misfortunes ko. Pero deep inside, i know God has nothing to do with it. So that makes me think na pag pinalad ako, i won't have to thank God for it kasi wala din siya kinalaman dun?

Amen to that, Father R-yo.

BTW, I passed a blog award to you. You may claim it here.

I hope someone will commit the gravest mistake of transferring his millions to my bank account and blame God for such a divine error.

Stand and be a man. As in human being. Hehe. We are prone to make mistakes. We should learn to accept that and that will make us more mature. Given that we don't repeat the same mistakes again. It's not a good habit to blame other people at lalo na si Lord pag nagkakamali tayo.

Hmmm, sorry ha. My inquisitive nature is itching to ask the inspiration of this post. Hehe. Sabi nga nila, there no accidents in life. Everything has reason. Hehe. Biro lang, no need to give details. Unless you wanna share.

Aryo, segue pala ako. Where'd you get the proudly Pinoy logo? Pwede ko rin ba gamitin sa site ko? :9

If god exists, do you think that he as a perfect creator who created humans in his own perfect image make a mistake by giving his creations the ability to make mistakes?

borge: part of the human design was the ability to make mistakes. As you said, men were created only in His image, not as gods themselves. this retains Him as the only perfect being. yan ang sabi ng lolo ko. :-)
