If there is one thing I dread as I return to Japan, it is the harsh winter. I know, it's not comparable to the cold in Alaska, Canada or some other parts of the globe where temperatures tread the celsius by the negatives, but it is cold enough for me to be a source of great discomfort.
And it's not even snowing yet!
I am naturally a tropical person and I think my body is no longer capable of evolving or adapting to this environment - it's just so different from its normal habitat. Call it a case of the spirit being willing but the body protests.
Actually, I would not really be complaining if the winter cold assaults me only when I'm on the streets. Problem is, I have been quite unfortunate too in my choice of living quarters where I usually end up with those with faulty heating systems (or maybe it's really just my body). Thus, even while I'm home, I feel like living in a freezer where I lose control of my motor functions (imagine a recurring epileptic fit). Going around is painful as the icy wooden floor numbs my feet. Cooking is not as fun as it used to as the water could be just as piercing. And let's not even talk about washing clothes.
How I wish there's a fast forward button to life so I could skip this season.

Ganyan din ako pards. I'd rather prefer summer than winter here. 10deg C lang e very uncomfortable na ako. At home, besides the heater constantly turned on, I wear one of those bunny slippers to warm up my feet. : )
some says it's so depressing. it's true indeed.
that explains there's no place like home. hehehe. miss reading your posts friend.
have somebody to snuggle with
and i dont like this season too. brr. haha. paligo ko ngayon 40 deg C wala na mix. haha wala na tuloy akong buhok
sad naman, ako po, natural fresh air, kasi rice farm pa at the back of my house, no aircon, no electric fan. just the air passing through my kitchen window and from my living room. last week nga i only opened one window of my living room kasi so lamig na, parang nasa baguio but not uncomfortable..hmmm uwi ka na dito ...dito ha sa cavite
blogusvox: he he. me ganun din akong slippers.
dong: they're right. winter is depressing. no happy thoughts coming in..
abou: he he. I guess that's the universal solution to this problem. pero paano yun, me ka snuggle din ako ako namamalantsa, naglalaba, nagluluto, etc. ? bwehehehe
olan: oo nga. pinakamasarap na talaga ang weather sa atin. wag nga lang bahain he he.
toto: 39 degrees lang kaya ko. but just the same, naubos na rin buhok ko. hehehe
anonymous: that's just the type of place where i wanna spend much time. me binibenta pa bang lupa dyan?
yes... actually we are recruiting buyers para naman, kilala namin ang neighborhood. most of my neighbor are from SC.kaya one car lang kami going to manila. puro singles syempre.. in tagalog, matandang dalaga at binata pero masasayang matandang dalaga at binata.. you will be very much welcome sa neighborhood.. teka... wala bang magseselos..
how about thermal underwear? =)
o kaya siguro umuwi ka muna ulit dito sa pinas tapos bumalik na lang sa japan pag tapos na ang winter hehehe =)
That is no fun...wish you warmer days soon...
Haha, ikaw na lang palagi kawawa naman... Ok lang, kayang-kaya mo yan :p Me too, nag dry na hair ko to the max!
[saludo]
natuloy ung EB niyo nina Aajao? Kasama ako dapat nun, ndi lang pd sa schedule ko...
OMG! You're in Japan! I finally know a Filipino in Japan! :D I'm going there in March/April and I just need help in figuring out how to get from Tokyo to Osaka/Nara/Kyoto area...and maybe Hiroshima. The pictures on your blog has gotten me quite excited about my trip! :)
carlotta: kung mayaman nga lang sana ako, andyan ako sa pinas every month. pero ganun talaga. timawa lang tayo he he.
sidney: no fun indeed. unless, i get to engage in other "fun" activities. he he
mariale: kawawa naman kasi talaga ako e. he he
ely: natuloy po kami. kasi naman. dapat kasama ka dun!
mina: just tell me when you'll be here. would be glad to be of help.

Try having a portable heater... The only prob is the electricity bill you'll be having.
